A flurry of finishes

I have been busy finishing more if my stitched pieces into ornaments,  mostly pillow ornaments but not all.

I stitched all of Lizzie Kate's Six Fat Snowmen together and finished them as a wall hanging.  I also have the Lizzie Kate Snowbelles but I have not started stitching them yet.  Eventually I will make them into a matching  wall hanging.

Country Cottage Needleworks Mrs Clause Cookie Shop from the Santa's Village series made into a small cushion to match the Santa one.

Two of the Shepherds Bush ornaments from the Just Cross Stitch Ornament magazines.

Smells Like Christmas from Sanman Originals.

Snowy Pines by Little House Needleworks

Christmas Cheer by Country Cottage Needleworks.

A non Christmas finish for a change its called Crystal Heart.

I still have lots more to finish but I also have lots to stitch.  I will finish more to add to my next post but I want to stitch more on my Gingerbread Village to show you next time.

A start and some finishes

Here is the Lizzie Kate Spirit of Christmas mystery sampler.  Did not get very far and will probably not finish it until next Christmas but you never know I may pick it up again soon.

I have also finished a few of my stitched pieces.

I made another standing ornament using another of the Lavender and Lace free Christmas ornaments.

Waxing Moons Hitchin a Ride made into a cushion.   I have so many Christmas cross stitch finishes that there is nothe enough room for them on the wall so I'll make some into cushions, some big some small but at least they'll get used each year scattered around in groups, baskets etc.

A small cushion made from Country Cottage Needleworks Santa's House from the Santa's Village.

Santa Ho Ho Ho by Sanman Originals

Another Sanman Originals ornament called Just BeClaus.

And finally for today

Ice Cream Sundae by Country Cottage Needleworks.  I think I may need a slightly bigger hanger for this one.

I have started the Country Cottage Needleworks Gingerbread Village but I'll save that until the next post.

We'll best go, time to make dinner.

Happy stitching

Friday 9 February 2018

Not been blogging, sorry not really felt much like it lately.
We lost our beautiful Labrador Charlie in November and I really did not feel like stitching.  I got out my knitting and made a blanket.  I had collected all the Simply Stylish Knitting partwork but had not made the blanket.  So I have been knitting squares and joining them together and it is finished.

I'm very pleased with it and as the yarn is 50% pure wool it is lovely and warm.

I have done a bit of stitching and I've even dragged my sewing machine out and I'm going to finish some of my stitching.  I did see online a new, well new to me way of finishing an ornament or small piece of stitching.  It was using placecard holders to make them stand.  I tried one

Not perfect but I'm happy with it.  I stitched this in 2011 so it's time it was made into something.  Mind you I have stitching a lot older then that waiting to be finished.  If you want to try this here is a link to the Twisted Stitcher blog with the tutorial.

This is one of my favourite photos of Charlie, I miss her so much.

Happy stitching
